TechWomen100 Awards: Nominations now open

WeAreTechWomen is organising, for the fifth year, the TechWomen100 Awards, aiming at recognising and celebrate the achievements of women working in technology. TechWomen100 award nominations are now open!

It is no secret that the technology industry lacks female representation at all levels. Women make up just 17% of the industry. However, there are many female technologists that need a place to shine.

“Whilst we feel it is extremely necessary to highlight senior and influential women, we also believe the pipeline of female technologists needs a platform to shine. This is why the TechWomen100 Awards were created,” WeAreTechWomen say.

The Awards focus solely on women working in tech below director level. WeAreTechWomen hopes that by highlighting the accolades of up-and-coming inspirational female tech talent, it can help to create a new generation of female role models for the industry, and a pipeline of future leaders.

Nominations for the TechWomen100 Awards opened on the 2nd of August and will close on the 10th of September.

A shortlist of 200 women will then be published. WeAreTechWomen will also open the TechWomen100 individual category for public votes of support. Winners will be announced in November and celebrated at a virtual awards ceremony on the 8th of December.
