Are you a cat or a lion on video?
When working from home, you can sometimes feel a need to hide and not be showing your sleepy face for instance by using a filter. The Guardian reports how a Texas lawyer accidentally left a kitten filter on during a video conference call with a judge. Kittens are cute but not so impressive. For a lawyer, perhaps the lion filter would be a better choice.
Anyway, the lawyer tried to reassure the judge by saying; “I’m here live. I am not a cat” – with the judge being reasonable enough to confirm “I can see that.”
The newspaper concludes that mishaps with video calls range from the inadvertently hilarious to unfortunately career-ending but that the lawyer´s mistake appears destined to achieve viral immortality.
