Advertising market on its way to recover

Media ad spending was up 22% in March compared to the same month a year ago when all ad markets were struck by the pandemic. Compared to March 2019, ad spending in March 2021 was up 6%, according to Standard Media Index.

TV ad spending was up 13% in March 2021 compared to March 2020.The 13% increase for TV ad spending means it is just 6% below the ad spending for March 2019.

January and February 2021 noted lower TV ad spending than 2020 as the pandemic hit in late February last year.
