Facebook announced tests of new advertising alternatives meant to benefit from the interest in short-form video and marketers interest in sticker ads. The company will test having advertising on Facebook-owned Instagram’s short-form video service Reels. Advertisers will be allowed to choose categories of video content that they want to place ads on.
Tests will start in Germany, India, Brazil and Australia.
Facebook also announced that it is introducing sticker advertising for Facebook stories. Brands can let creators include sticker ads in their Stories and influences will benefit from revenue sharing of sales made from the stickers.
