Women in IT Summit Europe focusing on diversity and digital transformation
One of the lessons learnt during the COVID-19 crisis is that diversity and inclusion matter more than ever. From gender representation and LGBTQ+ rights, to racial and disability inequities, there has never been a more important time to educate ourselves to embrace differences and diversity in the workplace.
In the tech industry, companies have been vowing over the last years to increase diversity of their workforce, however there has been very little progress. According to a Bloomberg report, women, people of color, different races, or ethnicities are still underrepresented in leadership roles.
On September 14, 2021, DiversityQ and Information Age are hosting the Europe edition of the Women in IT Summit, with the aim to help businesses turn conversation into action. The Summit will explore how we can all fight for diverse representation in leadership and support underrepresented leaders, and share insights on how you can fuel your organisational transformation, growth and recovery with data and digitisation.
Some of the topics that will be discussed during the Summit are the geographically hurdles when it comes to gender, race, disability, age, and LGBTQ+ representation, ways to create a company-wide structure which promotes and empowers diverse leadership and career progression, how to engage the workforce in DEI strategies, and how to create growth and profitability from digital transformation projects.
