World Press Photo Foundation appointing new chair
The World Press Photo Foundation has appointed Janne Nijman as the new chair of its Supervisory Board and added a new Supervisory Board member.
Janne Nijman will replace Marlou Banning, who remains on the board as treasurer. Janne Nijman is chairperson of the Executive Board of the T.M.C. Asser Instituut in The Hague, and its academic director. She is a professor of History and Theory of International Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Amsterdam, and also a professor of International Law at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva. Nijman is a member of several boards including peace organisation PAX for Peace, the think-tank International Centre for Counter-Terrorism, and currently serves on the international jury for the UCLG Peace Prize.
