Natalia Nicolaidis is an experienced leader on topics that include women leadership, legal and risk, sustainability, and governance as well as diversity & inclusion. Having worked in financial services during turbulent times, Natalia combines strategic and risk-management experience with first-hand leadership in business transformation and cultural change.
She is the Founder and CEO of Dynamic Counsel, an advisory consultancy that provides governance and risk management support to clients seeking to enhance corporate value and manage change. Natalia has a vast wealth of experience in financial services where she served as General Counsel to the Investment Banking & Capital Markets Division and Head of Risks & Controls of a global investment bank. She managed global scale projects and led international talent in a constantly changing transactional and regulatory landscape. She drove strategic transformation for the general counsel and the investment banking departments. She worked on crisis management and advised Senior Management in legal, operational, and reputational risk matters. She is a mother and an art lover.
Through her governance career and as a non-executive director, Natalia provides insight on the full breadth of strategic issues facing the board by establishing innovative ways to serve the demands of clients, regulators, investors and other stakeholders. Through her sustainability focus and as a member of the Board Sustainability Committee, Natalia guides executive teams on non-financial risk developments.
Natalia holds a BA in Economics from Yale University, a Juris Doctor and a Masters in the School of Foreign Science from Georgetown University as well as a Masters in European Union Law from the Collège d’Europe (Bruges). She is a member of the New York Bar and is fluent in English, French, and Greek and proficient in Spanish.
Natalia’s leadership has been recognised by Women in Banking and Finance in their 2017 Achievement Award nomination. She enjoys speaking engagements and is an author on topics including legal, operational and regulatory as well as diversity & inclusion and ESG. Georgetown University Law Center named Natalia Adjunct Professor in 2000.
She currently serves as Chair of the Georgetown University European Law Advisory Board and on the Women’s Interest Group and as Sustainability liaison of the Securities Law Committee at the International Bar Association. She is an Advisor to Just Capital, a charity that through research and data-driven tools empowers market participants to help build a more just economy and is a member of British-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce.
