E-shoppers finding the right size

With more and more shopping moving online consumers buying clothes and shoes online have to estimate which size will fit them. Snap, promoting shopping via the social app, has acquired German size-recommendation service Fit Analytics. No financial details were published.

Snap has earlier announced its growth strategy is increase of 50% annually over the next few years with CEO Evan Spiegel saying that growth is not only by growing Snapchat user base. The now acquired Fit Analytics has service Fit Finder covering 18 000 retailers and brands.

Fit Analytics will work with the Snap product team to grow its e-commerce and shopping offerings, which include both AR and video formats.

“Our main focus going forward will be to scale the Fit Analytics business and work with Snap to grow their shopping platform, leveraging our technology and expertise. Our teams will be jointly executing on next-gen shopping, fashion and style offerings”, Fit Analytics CEO Sebastian Schulze said in a blog post.

Fit Analytics will continue being based in Berlin.
