Internet marketing Scorpion raising USD 100 million
Internet marketing firm Scorpion announced it has raised USD 100 million in funds from investment firm Bregal Sagemount to expand its technology and customer offerings.
Scorpion describes itself as a full-service marketing and technology company for businesses, professionals, and organizations across the legal, home services, healthcare, and franchise industries. The company offers search optimization, social media marketing, email marketing and websites for local businesses.
The company also said it had appointed former KKR & Co and Bain and Company executive Daniel Street as its CEO.
Scorpion recently bought software company CanlRank that uses artificial intelligence to provide customers with locally relevant SEO.
