Disney board elects first woman chair

Susan E. Arnold will be the first woman to hold the position as Chair of The Walt Disney Company. She has been elected to take up the position from 2022.

Arnold, a 14-year member of the Disney Board who has served as its independent Lead Director since 2018, is succeeding Robert A. Iger when he leaves to company at the end of the year.

Susan Arnold was formerly an operating executive of the equity investment firm The Carlyle Group and has earlier worked at Procter & Gamble and McDonalds Corp.
