Twitter testing Professional Profiles

Twitter has launched an official test of its earlier announced ‘Professional Profiles’ – a feature that looks like similar services on LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram. Twitter says that the feature is a new tool that “will allow businesses, non-profits, publishers, and creators – anyone who uses Twitter for work – to display specific information about their business directly on their profile.”

The tests have started with a limited number of US companies but Twitter says the company “will give more accounts access to Professional Profiles in the coming months.

The profiles include a profile photo, account name with link to user’s website and pinned Tweets where users can post latest news etc.
