Clubhouse already blocked in China

New booming social media app Clubhouse has been blocked in Chine. The new discussion venue is famous for being available on invitation only and for not recording what is discussed – there should not be any statements to regret afterwards.

According to news reports, thousands of Chinese have access to Clubhouse and have used it to discuss politically sensitive subjects which has led the authorities to block it. The site, launched by entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley, is available only if you have received an invitation from someone who already is a member. Each member can invite only one person.

Anti-censorship activist website GreatFire.org Tweeted late on Monday that the app had been blocked for users in China at around 7 p.m. on Feb 9 Beijing time
