Facebook already jealous of Clubhouse
The buzz around new social media app Clubhouse has inspired Facebook to plan for its own social audio, The New York Times reports. The newspaper says the Facebook plan is in the “early stages of development” so conclusion is that future launch is unclear.
The Verge reports Twitter is also working on a Clubhouse competitor. Twitter’s service Spaces is currently available in a beta version.
Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook, has joined Clubhouse and participated in a “room” talking about the future of augmented and virtual reality.
Clubhouse is audio only social media app and you cannot just join. You have to be invited by someone already being a member. Each member can invite only one more person to join. The audio app says there are no recording of what is said on Clubhouse.
