Window shop NFTs on your Samsung TV

The fascination of investing in digital art as blockchain based NFTs has now reached your TV set. If you have invested in NFT art, you also want to share their beauty with guests and perhaps also brag about your NFT collection. Samsung has for 2022 said it is the first TV manufacturer that really supports the NFTs.

You can make your living room an NFT art gallery and even a showroom for potential buyers.

“With demand for NFTs on the rise, the need for a solution to today’s fragmented viewing and purchasing landscape has never been greater,” the company said in a press release.

“In 2022, Samsung is introducing the world’s first TV screen-based NFT explorer and marketplace aggregator, a groundbreaking platform that lets you browse, purchase, and display your favourite art — all in one place.”

Creators can “share their art with the world” and let potential buyers:

  • Preview an NFT before purchasing it
  • Learn about an NFT’s history and blockchain metadata

Non-fungible tokens – records of digital ownership stored in the blockchain – market has boomed since artists started selling digital arts as NFTs. Most famously artist Beeple, in real-world called Michael Joseph Winkelmann, sold one piece of art as an NFT on auction for USD 69 million.

“NFTs really started initially with the digital art side. But it’s going to be a lot more powerful,” Eric Anziani, COO of Crypto.com told cointelegraph.com. “It will be the tool that represents any digital type of assets in virtual worlds going forward. So the applications are tremendous.”
NFTs enable the property transactions that drive the metaverse as they provide safe proof of ownership.
