Do you know who are the world’s most popular artists?
There are two feminists among the world’s seven most popular artist: Mexican Frida Kahlo and Italian 16th century painter Artemisia Gentileschi. Most popular of all painters is Leonardo da Vinci. Among the top seven only one is alive – English street artist Banksy.

Born 15 April 1452 i Anchiano in Toscana and the creator of Last Supper and Mona Lisa paintings, which can be found in the Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan and the Louvre in Paris.
- Frida Kahlo
Born 6 July 1907 i Coyoacán in Meico. Known for her many portraits, self-portraits, and works inspired by the nature.
- Vincent Van Gogh
Born 30 March 1853 in Zundert in Holland. Post-impressionist painter who became one of the most famous and influential painters – but unfortunately posthumously.
- Artemisia Gentileschi
Born 8 July 1593 in Rome. Baroque painter and professional painter already at the age of 15 and the first woman to be a member of the Academia di Arte del Disegno in Florence.
- Pablo Picasso
Born 25 October 188 in Malaga. Painter, sculptor who spent most of his adult life in France and is known for co-founding the Cubist movement.
- Banksy
Probably born 1974. Banksy’s identity is a secret and the artist is only known under pseudonym Banksy. England-based street artist, political activist, and film director
- Diego Velazquez
Born 6 June 1599 in Sevilla. The leading painter in the court of King Philip IV and of the Spanish Golden Age.
