Iconic jazz by Chick Corea
The world has lost a jazz icon! Jazz composer, pianist and keyboardist Chick Corea has died at 79 after recently having been diagnosed with cancer. Among his compositions are hits like Spain, 500 Miles High, La Fiesta and Windows.
His career spanned more than five decades. He had his own band and he played with giants as Miles Davis in the late 1960s. He also became a symbol for the jazz fusion movement.
He is the fourth most nominated artist in the Grammy Awards with 65 nominations and winning 23 awards. His last album was released last year.
