Norwegian postal service’s 2021 Christmas campaign has gone viral. When “Harry met Santa” with Santa kissing a man is celebrating that it 2022 is 50 years since gay love was allowed after earlier having been a criminal offense. The state-owned postal service says it also shows how vital its distribution services are for all – Santa included.
“The Christmas campaign 2021 is a story of love between Harry and Nissen (Santa in Norwegian) who can only meet for a few short minutes once per year but who can finally be together when the postal service takes over Santa’s distribution mission, the postal service explains.
It is a story about free love that shakes the traditional picture of Santa and shows another picture of him. A story that makes people think, talk and perhaps reflect that the most commercial fiction figure of them all can look totally different to someone else, like Harry.
The love story also means that, most probably, for the first time, Norwegian postal service is world famous!”
