Artificial intelligence has so far not been a major factor for social media disinformation about Israel – Gaza. The social media is flooded with disinformation and as the attack on Gaza plays out on social media, it was expected that generative AI would be a major factor in the flood of disinformation on social media. But that has not been the case. Referring to EU’s new Digital Services Act (DSA), the EU commission has asked Meta and TikTok what the companies are doing to stop illegal content and disinformation.

Although the EU is making strides towards gender equality, only 2 % of its population is close. The new EU Gender Equality Index shows the biggest annual jump in the overall score in the history of the Index ever: 70.2 points out of 100. Women are step by step catching up with science technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) job demands, the report by the European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE) says.

There is no NFT hype anymore but research shows that major brands see a potential value in the technology. NFTs have the potential to create novel and innovative ways to connect with consumers and foster more meaningful customer relationships, a report by World Economic Forum and management consultancy Bain & Company shows. A couple of years ago, the NFT market boomed when artist Mike Winkelmann, online called Beeple, sold a digital piece of art at Christie’s auctions for USD 69 million.

With just 7% saying they have “a great deal” of trust and confidence in media it is no surprise that Americans are following the news less closely than they were a few years ago, according to a new Pew Research Center analysis.
