Women in Advertising and Communications, Leadership (WACL) is an industry networking organisation that brings together the most senior female leaders in marketing and communications.
Its members are drawn from brands, media owners, advertising and media agencies, and other industry businesses, and its purpose is to accelerate gender equality in communications and marketing.
To deliver this WACL focuses on:
“We provide inspiration to aspiring female talent via Gather, our annual conference, and our quarterly mentoring sessions, and offer training bursaries via our Future Leaders Award to aid women in achieving their potential. The history of WACL
WACL has been in existence since 1923. It currently consists of 265 of the most senior women from the fields of advertising and communications, marketing, media and associated trade bodies.
Current members include Dame Carolyn McCall CEO of ITV, Nicola Mendelsohn, VP EMEA Facebook and Dame Cilla Snowball, Retired Group CEO & Group Chairman AMV BBDO, among others.
