Bet365’s Denise Coates joins best-paid global executives
Denise Coates, the 53-year-old founder and chief executive officer of the gambling group Bet365 pocketed 468.9 million pounds ($648 million) in pay and dividends, in the year ending 29 March – almost 50% more than a year earlier – according to a filing from the online bookmaker.
Bloomberg reports that her salary of 421.2 million pounds from the British firm makes her one of the world’s best-paid bosses. It also strengthens her status as the U.K.’s richest woman, adding to a fortune already among the world’s 500 largest, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
BBC also reports that this is one of the biggest pay packets in UK corporate history.
