The European Parliament and Council have agreed on how to implement both the Digital Services Act (DSA) and the Digital Markets Act (DMA). The new rules  are meant to increase online competition and put pressure on big tech to be more active in fighting disinformation and harmful content.

The streaming video market had a bad week. Netflix reported big loss of subscribers in the first quarter and its shares fell dramatically. The company pointed stiff competition now when the pandemic is over and to that households share passwords. CNN announced that its streaming subscription news service CNN+ will close at the end of April, just three weeks after it was launched.

The infamous Israeli Pegasus spyware is suspected to have infected official UK networks including the prime minister´s office on Downing Street 10. Toronto University’s The Citizen Lab said suspected infections were associated with Pegasus operators linked to the United Arab Emirates, India, Cyprus, and Jordan.

Business leaders think remote working has negative effects both for companies and their employees according to a new US study. 96% of executives agree that primarily remote workers are disadvantaged compared to those who work primarily in the office.
